This package is designed for people with a creative spark who just haven’t been sparking in a while. You know it’s in there. You did amazing work with finger paint back in kindergarten and you poured your heart into journals in your teenage years but somewhere along your path, life got in the way and now, you’re not sure how to find that magic again. You can hear your creative pulse if you listen hard enough. It wants to he heard and it needs a little structure, courage, and direction to find its way out.
You will work side-by-side with your Firefly Writing Coach to:
~ Get messy with a whole bunch of short, quick, and easy writing assignments (all of which might lead to bigger things).
~ Get to know what nourishes your creative life and what makes it wilt.
~ Explore a little of your creative life story to understand where and why you left your creative spark behind.
~ Experiment with some easy-peasy writing rituals and practices to make it simpler to get back to the page.
~ Get a boatload of beautiful mail in your (real) mailbox.
~ Put words together in ways that make you giggle and maybe a little teary.
~ Receive a free spot in a Firefly interactive web-based class so you can connect with a supportive community and keep your creativity flowing.
How it works:
Over the three months of this relationship, you’ll meet with your coach over the phone, Skype, or in a coffee shop in Toronto for a 60-minute session every other week. She will gently guide you back to the joy of creating and will help you explore your process, your blocks, and your forward motion. She’ll also assign you short, manageable homework and will MAIL (yes, real mail) you fun exercises and encouragement. She’ll read your work throughout (up to 1,500 words per session) so that your work is lovingly witnessed as you move forward.
Moulah:
$250 deposit and then $260/month for next 3 months.

Oh goodness, we know that stuck feeling. Your idea is magical and massive and it wants to come out. But you’ve hit a block, a wall, an iceberg. You can sense the calm waters ahead. You want to be moving again. You are ready to make it happen, and all you need is a little help.
You will work side-by-side with your Firefly Writing Coach to:
~ Gently and clearly explore your writing blocks. You’ll find some clear answers as to where your blocks might have come from and what they need in order to move on out.
~ Get to know what nourishes your creative life and what makes it wilt.
~ Break your big project into tiny bites and work through a BUNCH of those bites.
~ Get meaningful, useful, and supportive feedback on your work.
~ Create engaging homework that’s tailored specifically to your project.
You will also receive:
~ Writerly gifts in the (real) mail.
~ Pep talks from a coach who has been there.
~ A CD of audio workshops, meditations, and warm-ups to take the work deeper and keep it going long after your coaching relationship is over.
~ A free spot in a Firefly interactive web-based class so you can connect with a supportive community and keep your creativity flowing.

She’ll work with you to break your project into short, manageable pieces and will give you fun tools to keep you connected to the pulse of your work. You’ll also get 3,000 words of honest, supportive written feedback on your work each month. You’ll also receive a free online workshop during or after the three months, to help you connect to a community of other writers on the same path.

$350 deposit and then $275/month for the next three months

If you’ve finished a 3-month package and you’re still hungry for more, you can keep your coach on retainer. Every month, you’ll receive your choice of either 5,000 words of manuscript review or a 60-minute one-on-one talk with your coach. You can switch these up month-by-month to suit your needs.
Moulah:
$150/month, with a minimum 3-month commitment
If the retainer feels a little sparse, you can double it up on months you’re feeling more productive.

Firefly Coaches are amazing at manuscript review. We have a knack for getting to the heart of what your writing needs in a way that’s loving, compassionate, and honest. We’ll give you in-depth written feedback on your work based on the questions you are asking right now, and we’ll ask you questions that gently push your writing boundaries.
We work with pieces of 6,000+ words at the rate of 3 cents per word for the first 12,000 and 2 cents per word after that. For works over 18,000 words, we throw in a 1-hour conversation to talk through the feedback via phone, Skype, or in-person at a Toronto coffee shop. We start every session with a 20-minute chat on the phone so you can meet your coach, and she can get clear on where you want your piece of writing to go.
Please note that we don’t work with every piece that comes to us. We only work with pieces that let our skills shine. To begin, we’ll ask you to send in a short passage of your work and the answers to our quick questionnaire about your editing needs. We get back in touch within the week to let you know if we have the perfect coach/editor lined up for you.
