Meet the “Nerdy Firefly”
Sarah joined the Firefly team early in 2014 to create the “Nerdy Firefly” wing, providing technical writing skills to compliment creative ones. She is a powerful, big-hearted editor who we’re excited to introduce to you!
She provides Firefly’s Feel-Good Grammar Clinics and is available to hire for technical editing on longer manuscripts.
 | Sarah MacKinnon is a ukulele-strumming copy-editor and mother of two in Vancouver, BC. Her first job with Firefly was to edit this entire website, back when it first launched. I thought this task would be a nightmare, but Sarah’s warm demeanor and amazing communication skills made it fun and breezy. When we thought about launching “Nerdy Firefly”, Sarah was a shoe-in. Sarah was born in Prince Edward Island and grew up in Nova Scotia, where she studied textile art at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD University). When she’s not editing, playing the ukulele, or crocheting, Sarah can be found chasing her energetic children. At Firefly she delivers Feel Good Grammar Clinics and is available to copyedit manuscripts of any length. |
